Biography
Cesare Re is a specialist photographer. His main interests are photographing mountain scenes and he is an expert in the field of Alpine photography. In addition to this he also loves photographing African scenes and landscapes. He has the ability with his reflex camera and his pen, to capture the magic that is unique to these places. His photographs have appeared in the following publications: Meridiani, Bell'Italia, Meridiani Montagne, Alp, Piemonte Parchi, Class, Viaggi e Sapori, Partiamo, Qui Touring. His photographs and text were publisched in the following publications: Rivista della Montagna, Fotografia Reflex, Fotocine, Orobie, I Quaderni del Ticino, Itinerari Travel, Ambiente Duemila, Marcopolo, Viaggia l'Italia, L'Orso, Backcountry, Oltre, La Rivista del Cai, Montebianco Outdoor, Vivere la Montagna, Qui Touring Speciale, Oasis and Montagnard. He is a correspondent for Rivista del Trekking and he contributed to a Mountain For Everyone, a nature guide about the Alps edited by the Touring Club. In addition to this his photographers have been publisched in Lombardia's Parks, edited by Sesaab. Amongst his publications are the guides Val d'Ossola and Valli Valdesi e Sestriere wich he wrote and illustrated for the magazine La Rivista del Treking, Piemonte e Val d'Aosta (Geo Mondadori), Le Nuove Guide Monti (10 books, for Tourin and CAI), Rifugi e Bivacchi della Val d'Aosta, Ciaspolare in Val d'Aosta, Dolomiti del Brenta, I Sentieri della Piode, Camminare nelle Dolomiti, Camminare in Ossola, Passo Passo Dolomiti, Sua Maestà il Rosa, Con le Ciaspole in Valsesia, Ossola, Sempione e Centovalli for Macchione Editore. He has also written articles about mountain photography on the web site www.adagio.it from 2001 until the end of 2003 and in alto.
